Where can I get insurance for an older car?

I have a 1969 VW Beetle and need cheapish insurance. Very few insurers will cover a car that old unless it is a "classic", but as this means it can only really be driven to shows and whatnot, it won't work for me. This is my daily driver.

I have never had a problem getting insurance for old cars at Allstate. But when insuring something this old that was a daily driver, I never insured it for any damage to the car. Collision and medical only, no comprehensive.
