The compressor in my window a/c doesn't turn on. The fan just blows air. The filter is clean. Any help?

It's less than a year old. It's gotten cold outside but they've turned the heat on in my building and it gets super hot. Plus, I'll need the a/c next spring/summer.

The compressor starter relay is bad or the compressor may be bad. I just had this problem and it turned out to be the relay. Either way you need an AC service man to check it out.
