why does my 96 dodge caravan shut off after an hour of driving with the ac on and is ok with it not on?
Drive it for an hour and it shuts off like you ran out of gas. Wait 20 minutes and it starts right up again. Ive replaced: fan relay, heat sensor, tune up, fuel injectors cleaned, cam sensor, new gas cap,radiator fans work now, ignition coil module,
It could be a converter problem! You didn't say how many miles are on this Van ! Switch the ignition on off on off on without starting the vehicle wait a few seconds and watch the Eng. light on the dash it should blink a code or more likely 2 or more
