Do I need a multistage thermostat?

I just had a new furnace installed...it is a Bryant Evolution Plus 95s. It is a multistage furnace, but it seems they installed a non-multistage thermostat (Aprilaire 8363). Do I need the multistage thermostat for my new furnace to function properly?

Aprilaire T-Stat

Oh, you wanted additional info?  The Aprilaire thermostats do not support scheduling.  The Control4 thermostat you can set a schedule from touchpanels as well as ComposerHE.  With Aprilaire, you can manually schedule things with the Control4 scheduler, but it's not a thermostat-specific schedule, it's just programming, which you must use Composer to edit, as opposed to being able to do it from the Navigators. Living in a variable (often cold) climate, I really want to be able to control the humidity based on both indoor humidity and outside temperature.  Basically keep a reasonable humidity level without getting condensation on the windows.  It would be even better if this could just be part of the thermostat function.  It's so well suited to automation I can't believe there is no way to do it.

Is there a way to tie the different settings in the thermostat to events or variables in composer?  I have an home away variable that shuts off all the lights and all the audio and video endpoints just in case anything is left on.  I'd love to tie the programming to the different "Awake" "Leave" "Return" to the variable without having to program the temperatures into composer.  That way I can adjust the temperatures directly on the TV without having to reprogram in composer.
