I replaced my 2001 bmw e46 m3 convertible oem taillights with upgraded 2004 and up led taillights oem. after installation was
complete the on board computer shows that the taillights are not working however the lights are on. the driver side

It's just what you said, the LCM has to be reprogrammed for the LED lights, basically it is told to not look at the low resistance anymore. However, being an 01, you will also need a new LCM, or light control module. If it was made prior to 10/01, you
