What disadvantage does a Fixed Pulley have compared to a system with Fixed and Movable Pulley ?

Two pulleys decreases the Force you have to apply by 1/2 in order to lift the weight. However, you have to pull the cable twice as far to move the weight up the same height as with just one fixed pulley. A fixed pulley changes the direction of force,
