Power Wire and Fuse for Car Audio Amp...Is 60A AGU fuse enough to handle 1000 Watts?

I bought a Amp Kit on Ebay, it was advertised as 1200 watts..with a 8 gauge power wire. When I got it and opened it up the power wire was about 8 gauge but mostly plastic around the copper wire, I probably wont even use it as speaker wire...The fuse holder
