maintenance questions - mercedes 350sdl diesel?

a few questions.

1) how do I get my sensors such as oxygen sensor checked. I want to make sure its good for gas mileage. How do I check the sensor that checks when to turn on the electric cooling fans (because I don't think that works).

1) You don't have an oxygen sensor (that was easy). The fan sensors are usually located on the block, near the upper radiator hose. Just short them out and see if the fan comes on.

2) The throttle linkage consists of all the bellcranks
