Can you build a RC Jet engine by using parts of our own?

I am a aeromodeling enthusiast. I want to build a RC JET ENGINE, But my financial background does not allow me buy a already made RC engine so I want to make my own. Can anyone help out with this.......

you can make a jet engine, but you'll need some tools to do it... and it just isn't practical... finding an alternative thrust or buying the actual jet engine used would be more worth it.
