2000 montero sport engine help?
i have a mitsubishi montero sport with a 24 valve 3.0 liter engine. recently my engine has been running higher than normal rpms at 45mph it runs about 1500rpm now it runs about 2100rpm. also when idling my car shakes and the rpm jumps from 500 to 1000
Do you have a service engine soon light on? If so, swing by a auto parts store and let them scan it for you with a code reader. Most stores (such as Napa, Advance Auto, etc.) do this free of charge.
