whats better a round air filter attached to my maf sensor or drop in air filter?

people said those round air filters u attach to ur maf sensor only will inhale Hot air from the engine compartment. is this true? they said the drop in is better because under it theres a hole that brings air from outside in

A properly installed air filter of any design is good. The round style will suck in hot air when its not installed correctly, like most ones are.
