Can u put something on a cracked lower thermostat housing to stop the leak temp.?
Don't have the money to buy the lower half of the thermostat housing from the dealership. So i was wondering can u put something to block the crack and stop the leak in the lower thermostat housing temporarily in a 1998 ford explorer?
I don't believe so. If the housing or possibly in some models where as the lower housing is part of the lower intake manifold, is cracked then a seal will not withstand the pressure. Replacement may be your only choice.
Lower your thermostat by adding a Humidifier to your system.

Folks can only lower their thermostat so much before hypothermia sets in...who really can live at 68* all winter? not too many folks can
