I am trying to repair the alternator circuit on a 1987 Toyota passenger van.?

The van has had water leaks and has blown a fuselink twice as a result. This last time after replacing the fuselink for main circuits I still do not get charging from alternator. Advance Auto has tested the alternator and says it checks O.K. What other

two questions, how do you know its not charging? and do you have power input to the alternator exciter circuit?
