Radiator Flushing?

I drive a 88' ausi and i need to flush my radiator system. Id rather do it myself then bring it to a Garage and get fucked paying lord knows how much.

SO, do any of you know a step by step process i can follow or guide me to a good website

Old school method was to add a cleaning addidtive from parts store, warm up car and let thermostat open, then drain radiator , safley into a bucket or catch pan. then with drainlug still open run car with rad cap off while you fill with water from garden
