Why would just one front brake pad wear to almost nothing and other three pads still look like new?

1999 Olds Alero 4 cylinder, left outer pad has only 1/16 inch left, inner pad on same wheel has about 3/8 left and right front wheel, both pads have about 3/8 inch.
The caliper is sticking and holding it against the rotor.
