I have not golfed in a very long time and I want to get back into it. I want to know what is a good golf set for a beginner, but I don't want one that is crappy. Also I am very tall (6'10") so if you know of any that accommodate that hight I would
i would say a good starter set is RAM. There is no specific company for height but u can get your clubs personally fitted by the pro at your local golf course or golf shop

Many thanks to the Mobsters who attended last night’s gala at the Reds HOF and Museum. Many, many thanks to the attendee who arrived from Lexington bearing a 4-pack of Kentucky Ale, and the two guys who brought me two, um,24-ouncers of Keystone Light and a pack of cigars. The ‘Stones were ice cold. I met everyone and talked with about half, then threw my arm out on the pitching machine on the third floor. Let’s just say I now have a better understanding of Mark Mallory’s issues. God help George Grande.
Special kudos to Pogo and FtThom and to Jim Stuard , who wants to take me fishing. The wire-to-wire exhibit raised a few neck hairs, especially the video of ED clocking the 1st-inning, transcendant home run off Stewart. Well done all the way around. Maybe we can do it again next year.
(I’ve been asked by the Enquirer to post a few Bash photos, but I’m gonna have to say no. Horrible pics of Me! Me! Me! Make me look like I’m on work-release from the infectious disease ward. They’re at Cincinnati.com if you care, which you really shouldnt.)
And thanks to City Beat readers, for deciding I’m the best local sports writer for, I think, the 12 straight year. Given the readership skews young, I’m especially proud of that one. Old guy still rocks. Occasionally.
Now, then…
Excellent work re the Beach Boys-Beatles discussion yesterday . Very informed and passionate, as usual. You never know what topic will click. So, we’ll do this today: Beatles or Stones? I prefer the latter. Never as brilliant as Paul and John, Mick and Keith nevertheless got me out of my seat much, much more. They should have quit after Some Girls, their last great album. The work since has been uninspired; now, their tours are sadly vaudevillian. But I’d still rather listen to Exile on Main Street than anything the Beatles produced.
