replacing an old bi-metal thermostat?

I have an old thermostat connected to a home heating system (hot water radiator type) that I want replaced. The installation directions enclosed are useless to me. There are 4 wires, 2 black that seem to lead to a transformer type thing, one blue wire

I just did this yesterday. I only used the two. It is a simple set up make sure you connect the right two. open the "transformer" and see witch wires are hucked up. Use those wire. It will not matter witch ones are scrowed into your thermestat.
